What we use cryotherapy for:
Skin tags are small, benign growths that hang from the skin. They are common, especially in areas where skin rubs together. They are generally harmless and can be removed for cosmetic reasons or because they cause irritation.
Warts are caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV) and are typically hard, raised, rough bumps on the skin. They are very common and are usually harmless. They can appear anywhere on the skin and are contagious.
What to expect
Cryotherapy is a treatment that uses liquid nitrogen to freeze skin surface lesions such as skin tags and warts. It is a simple and relatively quick procedure. Multiple lesions can be treated in one appointment. Several treatment sessions may be needed.
This treatment is suitable for adults and tamariki 5 years old and above.
